Letting kids be kids on family photoShoot day

Moments are fleeting, and kiddos grow up WAY too fast!! Family photos are a wonderful way to capture your memories and preserve this moment in time. It's not uncommon for parents to worry about their littles looking perfect in the photos. It's important to remember that kids will be kids, and that’s okay. I will always do everything I can to get a few "smile at the camera" moments... but remember, one of the biggest reasons to take photos now is to document you and your family in THIS EXACT moment. Things to think about when planning your next photo shoot-

  1. Natural is Beautiful: Children are at their most natural when they are having fun and being themselves. Capturing this moment in time is much more important than getting only perfectly posed photos. The imperfections in the photos are what make them unique and special.
  2. Memories over Perfection: The main purpose of family photos is to capture memories and the moment you're in RIGHT NOW, not perfection. When you look back at your photos, you want to remember the laughter, the giggles, and the love... not whether or not your child was sitting perfectly still.
  3. Kids grow up SO quickly, and the photos you take today will be precious memories forever. Embrace everyone's imperfections and capture the essence of their childhood and your family as a whole.
  4. Capturing Personality: Kids are full of personality, and capturing that personality in photos is more important than capturing a perfectly posed shot. Let them be themselves, and the photos will reflect their unique personality and character.

Remember that kids will be kids and that’s okay. Embrace their imperfections and focus on capturing memories, personality, and love in your family photos. Don't stress about getting the perfect shot, as the imperfections in the photos are what make them special and unique.
